  17. of the Crescent City's greats, including Sidney Desvigne,
  18. George Lewis and Kid Thomas Valentine. Equally adept at the
  19. brash tailgate style and silky-smooth ballads, Nelson was an
  20. original member of the Preservation Hall band.
